Travel More in 2017 with SPG Amex + Highest EVER Sign-up Bonus

As an SPG Amex Card Member and Amex Ambassador, I am thrilled to team up with American Express to share that the Starwood Preferred Guest from American Express Card is now offering its highest ever sign-up bonus! Now and until April 5th when you sign up for an SPG Amex Card, new Card Members can earn up to 35,000 bonus Starpoints (when you meet the minimum purchase requirements)!

Here are the specific offer details:

-New Card Members will earn 25,000 bonus Stairpoints after using their new card to make $3,000 in purchases within the first 3 months.

-New Card Members will earn an additional 10,000 bonus Starpoints after making an additional $2,000 in purchases on the card within the first 6 months.

Offer valid from now until April 5th, 2017. Learn more and take advantage of this offer here.

One of the biggest perks of the SPG Amex Card is how incredibly flexible it is, meaning that you can not only choose to use your points in any one of their 1,300 hotels & resorts that are part of the SPG program all throughout the world, but you can also transfer points to use in over 30 airlines worldwide. This is one of the main reasons our family uses and loves this card.

Within the SPG Program – from The Westin to The St. Regis, there is a hotel for every budget and traveler. Accumulate your points, and start ticking off your dream destinations of your bucket list. Whether it is taking a trip to Stockholm, Sweden to get lost in the colorful and charming streets of the Gamla Stan.

Or pampering yourself with a getaway to the Swiss Alps.

Or exploring the pristine Riviera Maya in Mexico and take a day trip to one of the 7 New World Wonders of the World in Chichen Itza.

You can redeem Starpoints for hotel reward nights (starting at 2,000 points) at more than 1,300 hotels in more than 100 countries. You will not be short of destinations to choose from.

One of our favorite ways to maximize our Starpoints is to claim them for airline miles, especially for Business Class tickets, as you can get more value for every Starpoint. With over 30 airlines to choose from, our family has been able to fly Business Class to incredible destinations, for as little as $20 in taxes per person! Using our Starpoints, we have redeemed our Starpoints for flights on British Airways, Iberia, and Swiss Airlines Business Class. And we hope to continue adding much more to our list!

Having only traveled with Emirates Airlines in Business Class, one that we are eager to experience is the Emirates Airlines First Class Suites with private showers! But even without the showers, you can enjoy having a snack or a glass of wine in its luxurious Business Class Lounge.

Even though this post is sponsored by American Express, we have been SPG Amex Card Members for the past two years, and this is one of our favorite travel cards. I highly recommend you take advantage of this offer and start traveling more this 2017!

Interesting offer indeed! Your pictures of business/first class are awesome. This is real luxury! I flew business twice (to the Caribbean and to Vegas) and it was fantastic. I wish I could afford it more often 😉

Thank you! Flying business can be quite expensive so accumulating your points for this experience is one of your best options.

This sounds amazing! I definitely need to look into this card, your photos alone are convincing (I just want to experience business or first class once!). Once I balance all current my loans and credit card debts, I’m going to check it out!

This is a great card to accumulate points for exactly that. We have flown business many times with it already 🙂

I am loving all your photos and it’s pretty incredible all the experiences you’ve had using the card! I am unfortunately not residing in the USA so it’s hard for me to apply to these! I would love to fly luxuriously!

Thanks for the information! We are in the market for a new travel card and are leaning toward a hotel one this time, so this is incredible useful! I’m adding it to our list of potentials 🙂

Do you find that SPG offers better reward stays than, say Marriott? I know they are linked now, but am wondering which one offers more value per point earned.

Hi Kelly, the good thing about this card is that its not just limited to hotels , you can use it for hotels and airlines so you get the best of both worlds. I have not used the Marriott one, but personally we use this one because it gives you a wide range of hotels and airline options 🙂
