Walking a city is always a fantastic way to get out to see a place up close, PLUS keep yourself active and prevent falling asleep on the tour buses, haha. I’m supposed to hit up Charleston in the next few months, so thanks for the great tips! My Dog and I are definitely going to check Philadelphia Alley (that was my favorite feature here for sure!).

I’d only recently heard about Charleston. I definitely agree that most people skip the small cities – myself included. Charleston looks like such a cute place tho!! So much character and looks all your photos look like they’re straight out of a fairytale book. Would for sure love to visit someday.

Charleston is such a lovely place, I’ll have to make it a stop when I’m travelling back to the states <3 the pastel coloured houses and beautiful trees are a travel bloggers instagram dream! I thought your photos looked familiar and then you mentioned the notebook and I was like, "oh course!" beautiful beautiful place and plenty of things to do for the whole family 🙂

I’m a firm believer that everywhere you go, you will find hidden gems, or even not-so-hidden attractions. The best thing any of us can do is thoroughly explore our own hometowns first! I would absolutely love to explore the quaint streets and plantations in Charleston. Actually, my family visited once when I was in high school. I was so obsessed with an upcoming debate tournament, I stayed home to do research during spring break and missed out on the Charleston trip. Stupid me!

What an absolutely beautiful city. The buildings with the window shutters are colourful. It reminds me of a small cozy cobblestone European city. I will have to add this place to my list of USA (Neighbours to the South) destinations…

Such a picturesque city! I love the colorful houses and all the greenery along the street and in the gardens. Any tree with Spanish Moss just looks so southern to me. I’d love to visit to explore more of the city’s history…not to mention get some IG worthy shots like yours! 🙂

There is truly a magical aura that each of these photos exudes. I can see why Charlestown has been repeatedly named America’s #1 small city! I was too young when I visited to really remember, so I’ll need to go back soon, and will surely take a stroll on Rainbow Row.
